Hi! I’m Abigail Haven.

Art is, at its heart, an act of connection.

I’ve always been so curious! It guides every step of my life and bleeds into the work I put into the world. I stumbled into the world of Graphic Design in 2015, and went on to earn my BFA in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts in 2024. Graphic Design will always hold dear to my heart.

Along the way, I became curious about photography, and started teaching myself how to use a camera. It became an obsession. I’d go on to take photography classes and workshops in New Jersey, New York and Paris. I don’t think I can properly put words to what photography means to me. (I am not a poet :’))

During my time at SVA, I worked as the Vice President of the Visual Arts Student Association (VASA) and then was an assistant to the Office of Student Affairs as a whole. I was in charge of event coordination. I loved it. I loved higher ed. I let myself be curious was thrilled to be so involved with the community. I’d continue working in Graphic Design, Photography and Event Coordination. I started my freelance business and called it Studio Havenhaus.

I want you, the reader, to know that I approach every project with that same joy for life. Whether I'm collaborating with huge, famous entities or a small seed freshly sown, my goal is always to create thoughtful, lasting work that reflects the people behind it. In my personal work, I explore absolutely anything and everything. I find myself particularly drawn to dark, gritty, DIY-style art that is reminiscent of underground music culture. I LOVE typography.

You ask, “What sets you apart from others?” and I say I will always have the upper hand because I am always having fun :).
Question nothing, enjoy everything. Stay curious, stay kind, and never use the Papyrus font.
